(Miri, 6th) Located in Tudan, the Miri Bodhisattva Buddhist Association will donate to cancer patients at its premises on January 23, 2025 (Lunar December 24), the day when deities return to heaven.
The chairman of the Miri Bodhisattva Center, Huang Xiu Mei (Master Shan Ming), stated that the center conducts charitable donations every year on this day. Unlike previous years, this year the donations will be targeted towards a specific group, that is, on-site donations to cancer patients. However, it is limited to 50 people, who must register in advance, and each person can receive 300 MYR.
The event will be held at the center at 10 AM on that day, and beneficiaries are urged to arrive early.
Huang Xiu Mei said that the purpose of such charitable acts by the center is to give back to society, spread love, and help alleviate the financial burden of those who are ill and in poverty.
