(Kuala Belait, 27th) The 2026 Filial Piety and Respect for the Elderly event of the Brunei Tai Po Association, along with the presentation of the Longevity and Senior Awards, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on August 2nd (Sunday) at the Association’s hall. At the same time, the 2026 Annual General Meeting and the presentation of the 2025 Members’ Children Academic Excellence Awards will take place.
The deadline for member proposals has passed, and the committee has not received any submissions. Therefore, this year’s general meeting will have no proposal discussions.
This year, the 15 members receiving the Longevity Award are as follows:
104 years old - Chong Hock Chiew
95 years old - Teng Siu Leong
90 years old - Chong Lu Hua, Lim Swee Ching
85 years old - Sia Eng Chit, Chong Chun Chong, Rao Chong Kwang
80 years old - Chang Liu Ha, Chong Ek Chye, Chong Thiam Hua, Lee Mei Lian, Ling Siu Ping, Phan Mei Lan, Sim Chin Hua, Sim Chun Cheong
This event is honored to have received generous sponsorships from three companies for activity funds and gifts as follows:
a. Fellow member Chan Shan Chu sponsored activity fund BND$1000
b. Cheh Ming Sdn Bhd sponsored Golden Drops Jin Sang Zi gifts
