(Miri, 28th) A young man suddenly collapsed in the backyard of his home and was diagnosed with a stroke after being rushed to the hospital. He is currently bedridden and unable to care for himself.
This 32-year-old man resides in Kampung Piasau, where some concerned villagers reached out to the Sarawak United People's Party (SUPP) Miri (Piasau) branch for help, hoping to receive necessary living support and medical assistance.
SUPP Miri (Piasau) branch Youth Leader and Miri City Councillor, Lau Yie Jue, led a service team to visit the home and offer as much assistance as possible.
After thoroughly understanding the young man's actual needs, Lau Yie Jue and his team discovered that the family requires not only financial aid but also essential living items such as diapers and formula milk.
Lau Yie Jue stated that he will assist in contacting the Miri Welfare Department to seek appropriate nursing assistance in hopes of relieving the young man and his family's burdens.
He said that the SUPP Miri (Piasau) branch will continue to focus on families in need within the community to ensure they receive timely help in times of difficulty.
"Care and mutual support are important forces in the community. We will continue to leverage our resources to provide as much support as possible to more families in need."
