Jay Chou Luxury Apartment Rumors Clarified - Bought 'Two Units on the 4th Floor' Under Hannah Quinlivan's Name

Last year, rumors spread that superstar Jay Chou splurged NT$3 billion (about RM380 million) to buy four entire floors of the luxury Taipei residence 'PUYONG DUN YANG'. Now, as the house transfer documents are revealed, the truth has come to light. Upon verification, Jay Chou did not purchase 'four floors', but rather 'two units on the 4th floor', and the purchaser is registered under his wife Hannah Quinlivan's (Wu surname natural person) name.

According to the actual price registration and transcript data, these two units were sold in November 2021, with a combined area of about 298.7 ping, totaling NT$484.95 million (about RM61.45 million). Even though these are on the lower 4th floor, the price per ping still reaches nearly NT$1.91 million (about RM240,000) each. Industry insiders point out that these units face Dunhua North Road and their layout is suitable for knocking through for combined usage.

Experts analyze that luxury home buyers often value the address and developer brand as much as the floor level. Looking back at Jay Chou’s previous real estate purchases – from the penthouse in 'He Ping Da Yuan', to the 7th floor in 'Yuan Li Xin Yi Lian Qin', and now the 4th floor of 'PUYONG DUN YANG' – his home buying strategy shows he does not blindly pursue high floors, but rather takes a diversified asset allocation approach.
