(Miri, 18th) Deputy Minister of Sarawak Tourism Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew allocated funds through the Sarawak Government's Agriculture Promotion Fund program to provide baking and cooking equipment to 13 applicants in the Berusso constituency.
The 13 applicants received sponsorship through the Agriculture Promotion Fund program introduced by the Sarawak Government in 2022. The total funding for this program amounts to RM90,000, with each beneficiary receiving baking or cooking equipment valued at RM7,000.
Also a member of the Berusso constituency, Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew stated during the handover of baking or cooking equipment to the beneficiaries at the Miri Division Agriculture Office this morning that the Berusso constituency strives to secure aid for needy applicants through the Agriculture Promotion Fund program, including baking, cooking equipment, Musang King durian seedlings, agricultural fertilizers, hydroponic farming, and silver beehive setups.
"We hope to support the economic income of individuals considering entrepreneurship or interested in engaging in small and home businesses. Therefore, these applicants must make good use of the equipment received. The Miri Division Agriculture Office will regularly dispatch personnel for inspections."
He urged the beneficiaries to wisely use these tools to increase their income and business volume, earning a stable income for living, and moving towards realizing their baking potential as a craft or skill that provides a stable income. Through craftsmanship, they can improve their living quality and make life better.
Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew emphasized that this is a benefit brought to the people of Sarawak by the Sarawak Party Alliance to help improve their skills and economic sources. The Sarawak Government is making efforts to formulate many strategies and plans to promote economic development and advance agricultural modernization.
