The "God of Songs" Jacky Cheung's "60+" concert tour has reached a total of 1,000 shows since its inception, experiencing numerous challenges akin to "a pilgrimage to the West." First, during the Malaysia leg, he suffered from sudden dizziness and fell on stage due to an imbalance of inner ear fluids, shocking fans. The Shanghai leg was postponed as he contracted COVID-19 and shortly after, he was infected with RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus). Recently, news has emerged that he is unwell again, leading to the urgent cancellation of three concert dates in Guangzhou, China.
The organizers issued a statement earlier, announcing the cancellation of the Guangzhou shows on March 7, 8, and 9: "In view of the artist's health and to ensure the quality performance, after careful consideration, we regret to inform everyone that the Jacky Cheung 60+ tour concerts scheduled for March 7, 8, and 9, 2025, at the Baoneng Guangzhou International Sports and Performing Arts Center have been canceled."
Jacky Cheung is set to perform in Taiwan at the end of the month, with three consecutive days of concerts at the Kaohsiung Arena, followed by a three-week stint at the Taipei Arena in April. Fans are very concerned about the singer's health and hope he will recuperate soon to avoid missing out on his commitment to his Taiwan fans again.
