Abduction of a teenage girl with ransom demand of 2 million - Police eliminate kidnappers

"Police eliminate kidnappers" case, the eliminated suspect was originally involved in the abduction of a 16-year-old girl and extorted a ransom of 2 million Ringgit!

It is reported that the deceased allegedly kidnapped a Chinese teenage girl in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, around 5:45 PM on April 10 and extorted a ransom of 2 million Ringgit from her family. The family eventually paid 280,000 Ringgit and some jewelry. The girl was released the next day (April 11) around 8:30 PM in Sendayan.

It is understood that the 21-year-old Indian suspect who was killed was one of the suspects in the case and had no previous criminal record. The police are still pursuing the whereabouts of the other accomplices.

The incident occurred on Monday (April 14) around 4 AM at Jalan Batu Unjur in Klang, Selangor. The police, having received intel, had already been staking out nearby.

According to the police, the suspect drove the vehicle out, refused to stop for inspection, and even rammed into the police car and shot at the police. During the chase, the police successfully intercepted the suspect's vehicle on Jalan Bayu Tinggi in Bukit Tinggi, where they shot him dead during an exchange of gunfire.

The police retrieved a gun and a machete from inside the car. Preliminary investigations show that the vehicle used by the suspect was the same one used during the release of the hostage.

Datuk Fadil Matus, Deputy Director of the Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department, pointed out that the police have carried out multiple raids and arrests, and preliminarily believe that the kidnapping syndicate has been successfully dismantled.

"We also thank the public for actively providing clues to assist the police in solving the case."
