The Peruvian National Office of Electoral Processes announced the full vote count results on the 29th, showing that Keiko Fujimori, the candidate from the right-wing party Popular Force, has won the presidential election.

The complete vote count shows Keiko Fujimori winning with 50.135% of the vote, defeating Sánchez, the candidate of the left-wing party 'Together for Peru', who received 49.865%.

Keiko Fujimori wrote on social media that she is waiting for the official announcement by the National Electoral Board.

Previously, on the 23rd, Sánchez condemned irregularities in the counting of overseas votes and stated that he would refuse to accept the election result.

He said he would continue to appeal to the electoral authorities, and if necessary, approach international organizations, declaring, “I will not recognize the Keiko Fujimori government.”

In the first round of Peru's presidential election held this April, none of the candidates met the requirements to win outright. The top two vote-getters, Keiko Fujimori and Sánchez, advanced to the second round. According to Peru's election law, the candidate with the greater number of votes in the second round is directly elected president.

Keiko Fujimori, 51, is the daughter of former Peruvian President Fujimori. She advocates for continuing a pro-market, investment-friendly policy line and taking a tougher stance against crime.
