The critically acclaimed and commercially successful "Breaking Hell" was released in Malaysia on November 14th last year, grossing 17.8 million ringgit, making it the highest-grossing Hong Kong film in the past five years in Malaysia. Director Chan Mau Yin and Michelle Wai came to Malaysia in early December to thank audiences. At that time, Chan Mau Yin stated that if the movie breaks records again, the extended version would be brought to Malaysia. Three months later, good news has arrived, and "Breaking Hell" officially announces its extended version release date.
Since its release last year, "Breaking Hell" has achieved remarkable success. In Hong Kong, it has accumulated nearly 1.6 billion Hong Kong dollars (approximately 91.18 million ringgit) in box office revenue, becoming the highest-grossing Hong Kong film in history.
