Lin Yi Visits Malaysia and Tastes Local Delicacies "Loves Liu Yifei the Most"

25-year-old Chinese actor Lin Yi visited Malaysia for the first time and expressed feeling the enthusiasm of Malaysian "WeiYi" (fan nickname) right as he left the airport. He revealed that he tried many Malaysian delicacies, including Nyonya cuisine, nasi lemak, fresh coconut water, and managed to fulfill his craving for durian, exclaiming "It's delicious!" Lin Yi starred in "The Story of the Rose," successfully working with his idol, Liu Yifei. When asked which actor he would like to collaborate with the most, he answered without hesitation: "Teacher Liu Yifei!" adding jokingly, "I'd love to work together again!"

Lin Yi gained fame in 2019 for his debut drama "Put Your Head on My Shoulder," playing the character "Gu Weiyi," a cold academic. Last year, he participated in Liu Yifei's new drama "The Story of the Rose," further boosting his popularity. Lin Yi is a big fan of Liu Yifei. Discussing his experience filming with her, he laughed and said, "It was very happy, very nervous, very excited, and very lucky!"

He also admitted that filming with his idol was quite stressful; he praised Liu Yifei for her professionalism and dedication. On set, she would chat with him, helping him immerse into his character "He Xi" in her own way. "Initially, I was very nervous, but after a day of filming with Teacher Liu, I fully got into the character."

Lin Yi stated that 2024 was quite rewarding for him, engaging in many different types of work and recording numerous variety shows, which helped him open up more. He revealed that through his acting experiences over the years, he feels more relaxed and composed, bringing unexpected atmospheres and effects to his acting.

Speaking of his most unforgettable filming experience, he said it was working with Liu Yifei. When asked which senior actor he most wanted to work with, he firmly chose Liu Yifei, jokingly saying: "Although we collaborated once, the filming lasted only 10 days, very short. I hope for a more formal collaboration."

He mentioned that he's eager to try Malaysian Bak Kut Teh.

At the Malaysian fan meeting, Lin Yi generously engaged with fans, singing, dancing cute dances, and even attempting traditional Malay dance. He interacted with fans in games, recreating famous scenes from "Lost Smile" and "Thanks for Warming Me Up," making female fans adore him by putting a headband on him and wiping his tears, making everyone envious!

As the fan meeting began, Lin Yi surprisingly appeared from the back of the audience, interacting closely with fans, causing constant screams and creating a lively atmosphere. During his performance of "It's You I Love," he went down the stage to interact with fans, frequently responding to their requests to form heart shapes, showing his affection for fans.
