Finance and Economy Ministry Holds Consultation Meeting with Members of Parliament

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 1st) The Ministry of Finance and Economy held a consultation meeting between the ministry and Members of Parliament yesterday at the ministry's auditorium.
The meeting was chaired by Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy, Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew Abdullah. Attendees included Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economic Affairs) Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Khairuddin, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Financial Affairs) Hajah Zety Sufina, Acting Permanent Secretary, Managing Director of the Central Bank, Deputy Permanent Secretary, as well as heads of various divisions and departments within the Ministry of Finance and Economy.

The parliamentary delegation was led by Rosmawati, who also delivered a response speech during the consultation meeting.
This consultation meeting served as a constructive platform aimed at fostering in-depth discussions, exchange of views, and sharing of knowledge on a range of topics. The discussion topics covered global and domestic economic trends; the implementation of fiscal consolidation and corporate institutionalization as fiscal management strategies; driving economic transformation in accordance with the Brunei Darussalam Economic Blueprint; strengthening fiscal governance; consolidating local trade and industrial sectors; as well as enhancing bilateral, regional, and international relations.
During the meeting, the chair also emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation, calling on government agencies, the private sector, and the general public to work together under a "whole-of-government" and "whole-of-nation" approach, striving together to realize a vibrant and sustainable national economy.
