Da S (Barbie Hsu) suddenly passed away this February and is laid to rest in Taiwan's Jinbaoshan Rose Garden Cemetery. Her friend, Jia Yongjie, once revealed that Koo Jun-Yup visits Jinbaoshan daily to see Da S, and Da S’s mother also expressed her sympathy for Koo Jun-Yup, saying he got “tanned because of accompanying Xiyuan.” Recently, rumors in Taiwan suggest that Koo Jun-Yup is interested in buying a house in Jinshan and has reportedly gone house-hunting, although there is currently no news of a signed contract.
As a South Korean citizen, Koo Jun-Yup is eligible to buy property in Taiwan. It has been reported that two months ago, he checked out a property project located about 10 minutes’ drive from the Jinbaoshan area. According to real price registration records, 27 units have already been sold, with transaction prices ranging from NT$230,000 to NT$330,000 per ping (around RM30,000 to RM47,500). The total price for these units falls between NT$7.64 million and NT$15.26 million (approximately RM1.1 million to RM2.2 million).
Koo Jun-Yup’s daily visits to Jinbaoshan to see Da S have been deemed inappropriate by Taiwanese fortuneteller Xiaomeng, who believes this habit could lead to negative repercussions for him. Xiaomeng stated that such actions could cause him to experience misfortune, deteriorating health, prolonged sadness, insomnia, and depression, potentially leading to a troubled later life. Xiaomeng also believes that Da S would not want to see him this dejected, as it might make her think it’s her fault. Xiaomeng urged Koo Jun-Yup to have the courage to let go, move forward, and stay away from the cemetery and Taiwan, suggesting that he should go somewhere without Da S’s memories. This would help Da S's spirit move to a better place, such as heaven. Otherwise, his lingering attachment might keep Da S’s spirit from moving on, which would not be good for her.
