The 33-year-old Taiwanese male star Wang Continental was just recently found guilty of alleged draft dodging and was released on bail of 150,000 TWD (approximately 20,000 MYR). Unexpectedly, during the ongoing draft dodging case, he was found by the court to have allegedly assaulted an Uber driver. On the 4th, authorities apprehended Wang Continental and wealthy individual known for playing mobile games, You Xiangmin, on suspicion of attempted murder. After seven hours of interrogation by the prosecutor, they were charged with inducing injury among other offenses, viewed as having the potential for fleeing and tampering with evidence. Around 10 p.m., the prosecutor sought to detain them without visitation rights at the court. The New Taipei District Court convened at 2 a.m. on the 5th for a hearing, deciding that Wang would be granted bail at 5 million TWD (approximately 677,000 MYR), while You would remain detained without visitation. Approaching noon, Wang managed to produce the 5 million TWD for bail, faced with a similar media frenzy as last time as he exited the prosecutor’s office, maintaining his palms together in silence and leaving in a nanny car amidst the chaos.

Wang Continental produced 5 million TWD bail and walked out of the New Taipei Prosecutor's Office.
The New Taipei District Court pointed out that after questioning You Xiangmin, it was determined that he was involved in crimes of incitement to commit injury, illegally using personal data contrary to the Personal Data Protection Act by a non-public agency, and other serious suspicions. The court believed there was sufficient evidence of tampering with potential evidence, conspiring with accomplices, and witness interference, necessitating detention and banning communication or visits.
In contrast, Wang Continental was charged with offenses including instructing a government officer to register false information, instigating harm, and violating the Personal Data Protection Act by a non-public agency for unauthorized use of personal data. Despite serious suspicions, the court determined that given past searches and seizures by police and prosecutorial authorities, and the detention of accomplice You, the risk of collusion or evidence tampering had decreased, negating the necessity for detention. A 5 million TWD bail was imposed with travel, maritime, and residency restrictions.

Angered by the subpar vehicle sent by Uber, Wang Continental allegedly instigated You Xiangmin to brutally assault both the driver and dispatcher and cruelly sent videos of the violence to friends out of boastfulness. Last month, amid allegations of desertion and falsification of medical records, it emerged during an investigation by the New Taipei District Prosecutor's Office that Wang's phone contained content related to You Xiangmin's assault on the driver, suspecting attempted murder, and both individuals were arrested by prosecutors on the 4th. Additionally, Wang was implicated for allegedly having close ties with gangs and privately extending high-interest loans, prompting widespread controversy.
According to "SET News," an insider revealed: "Indeed, there are connections with gangs and involvement in providing loans." The source bluntly exposed suspected high-interest money lending practices and that Wang allegedly directed subordinates to engage in violent debt collection if borrowers defaulted, possibly entailing existing abuse imagery.
