Guo Fucheng's wife, Fang Yuan, posted yesterday (26th) afternoon, revealing that she encountered a robbery upon arriving in Milan, Italy. Her luxury brand bag was snatched, containing documents, bank cards, a camera, and important information, leaving her very anxious.
In response, staff from the Chinese Consulate General in Milan stated that they have not yet received any request for assistance and advised those who encounter similar incidents overseas to report to the local police immediately.
The luxury bag used by Fang Yuan was suspected to be a near 140,000 yuan (approximately 1,880 Malaysian Ringgit) black Dior tote bag. The IP location at the time indicated that she was at Milan Malpensa Airport. She reminded everyone to take care of their valuables while traveling and attached a photo of the bag asking if there was any chance of retrieving it, revealing that she had already reported the incident to the police, “Luckily, the phone was in my pocket.”
According to Jiu Pai News, personnel from the Chinese Consulate General in Milan said they have not received a request for help from Fang Yuan. The entire incident has attracted significant attention on the Chinese internet, prompting the consulate to once again remind travelers abroad to be vigilant and properly safeguard personal belongings to avoid unnecessary losses.
A local taxi driver of Chinese origin revealed to the media that although he hadn't heard about Fang Yuan's bag snatching, the chances of recovering items in such events are generally low.
