Kim Woo Bin and Shin Min Ah’s wedding was emceed by Lee Kwang Soo, with Dharma Master Falun as the officiant. The published wedding address not only highlighted the couple’s famously warm personalities but also recounted the hardship of Kim Woo Bin’s nasopharyngeal cancer treatment. Dharma Master Falun said, “Min Ah is a warm-hearted and kind person who has been sponsoring children in need for over a decade. Woo Bin went through a very difficult time due to his poor health. At that time, Min Ah carried rice on her head and went to pray to Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva on Gyeongju Namsan, sincerely praying across religions together.” She hoped the divine would save Kim Woo Bin.

Before announcing their marriage, Kim Woo Bin personally visited Dharma Master Falun to invite him to be their officiant, as Kim Woo Bin had received immense spiritual support during his 2017 cancer treatments through counseling with the master. During that time, Shin Min Ah also found great comfort in the master’s words while caring for him, deepening the bond between the couple.

Before their wedding, the couple also donated 300 million KRW to several organizations, including a refugee aid center founded by the Master called “Good Friends.” Because of this connection, the Master readily agreed to serve as their wedding officiant.
