South Korean pop diva Lee Hyori is widely known as an animal lover and keeps several pet dogs at home. On the 27th, she revealed on a show that two years ago, she was bitten while trying to stop her dogs from fighting, causing the nerves in her finger to be completely severed. Her fingernail is still visibly deformed to this day, surprising and distressing many.

In the special documentary "Hyegyo's Garden, More Beautiful Than Heaven," Lee Hyori shared that she was moved to tears when watching segments discussing pet issues in "More Beautiful Than Heaven." She then mentioned that two years ago her left middle finger was bitten by a dog, "At that time, I was trying to stop my dogs from fighting when my hand was nearly severed, and the nerves were completely cut. I had to be hospitalized for surgery. My hand was dangling, and I even thought my finger had already fallen off." Lee Hyori showed her clearly deformed finger on camera, prompting host Kim Hye-ja to feel sorry and say, "How could a woman's hand end up like this?" Lee Hyori explained, "At that time, my husband was filming in Seoul, and a guardian's consent was required for surgery." She described the urgent situation where surgery couldn't proceed immediately.

While displaying her scars, Lee Hyori firmly stated, "Even if, after this show airs, someone asks what should be done about this hand, I don't feel ashamed." Hearing this, Kim Hye-ja comforted her by saying, "There's no shame in this because you truly love them."
