(Miri, 16th) The Chairman of the Board of Pujut Chung Hua School, Penghulu Chai Gang Ming, expressed that the school’s achievements today are thanks to the strong support from various parties, including representatives, the board, the Parent-Teacher Association, and the concerted efforts of all teachers and students.
He pointed out that in the past few years, the school has made significant improvements in academics, extracurricular activities, and infrastructure, creating a quality learning environment for students, which is all worth cherishing and appreciating.
He delivered these remarks during his speech at the 71st graduation and award ceremony (ATURCARA MAJLIS ANUGERAH KECEMERLANGAN MURID KE-71 SJK (C) CHUNG HUA PUJUT) of Pujut Chung Hua School this afternoon.
He mentioned that a total of 214 sixth-grade graduates gathered together at the ceremony, bidding farewell to their alma mater in a heartfelt atmosphere. Parents celebrated this important moment by bringing bouquets and balloons for their children, making the ceremony warm and lively.
In his speech at the ceremony, Chai Gang Ming said that parents offering bouquets and balloons to their children reflects the emphasis on key moments of their growth. This is not only a thoughtful gesture but also a token of gratitude for the hard work of the teachers over the past six years. He urged parents to express their thanks to the dedicated teachers while blessing their children.

In 2024, the school performed outstandingly in painting, essay writing, spring couplet competitions, and sports such as archery, table tennis, and taekwondo, all of which were made possible by the concerted efforts of the principal and all students and teachers.
Significant Improvement in Infrastructure
He mentioned that the school has also made significant progress in the construction of software and hardware facilities in recent years. Starting from the 2023 academic year, the school installed 86-inch electronic multimedia TVs in 33 classrooms, greatly enhancing the fun and interactivity of teaching. Additionally, with the support of Pujut state assemblyman Yeo Xiao Shan, the school completed upgrades to the toilets and campus corridors, providing a more comfortable learning environment for teachers and students. Meanwhile, modern partitions were installed in the staff room, further improving teaching conditions.
The school’s development also received strong support from Dr. Zhao Junwen, the Member of Parliament for Miri, who allocated 50,000 ringgit for the enhancement of school infrastructure. The multimedia room of the school benefited from the funding support of Sarawak Transport Minister Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin and Deputy Minister of Tourism Datuk Chen Chao Yao, and has now become an important venue for hosting training and student motivation activities.
Chai Gang Ming stated that he plans to hand over the leadership responsibilities of the board to new personnel, hoping that the new leadership will continue to lead the school to greater glory in the future. He also extended deep blessings to the graduates, wishing them to bravely face challenges in the new phase, keep striving, prepare well for their future middle school life, and contribute to society as they grow.
