U.S. President Trump is planning to visit China from March 31 to April 2 and will hold talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
According to Bloomberg, Trump said at the first meeting of the Peace Committee held in Washington on the 19th that he will visit China in April.
On the 20th, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Trump's use of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act to impose global tariffs was unconstitutional, which is bound to disrupt the efforts between China and the U.S. to extend last year’s trade truce agreement.
Trump and Xi are expected to seek solutions to the increasingly uncertain trade relations and to ease tensions surrounding the Taiwan issue.
Trump has previously expressed his anticipation of Xi’s visit to Washington later this year, and Xi is expected to attend the G20 Summit to be held in Florida.
