(Miri, 20th) Sarawak Deputy Minister of Tourism, Datuk Sebastian Ting, today disbursed RM125,000 in grants for rural minor projects to 12 associations, guilds, and non-governmental organizations through the Sarawak United People's Party Piasau branch.
Datuk Sebastian Ting stated that these rural minor project grants are open for application to all associations and organizations in the constituency registered with the Registrar of Societies and must have a registered bank account to apply. Constituency representatives will conduct the review to decide whether the grant is approved and the amount disbursed.
He emphasized that the Sarawak Party Alliance (GPS) is committed to achieving the goal of caring for people's welfare through more schemes, including grants, and implementing more people-friendly policies to create a harmonious and inclusive society.
He urged all groups to make good use of these funds to take care of their members and work together to develop Miri.
"I hope guilds and associations will utilize the funds effectively to organize activities that benefit members and communities, thereby creating a more harmonious and inclusive society."
