A female police officer shooting incident occurred at the Kwun Tong Police Station in Hong Kong. On the morning of the 25th, a 23-year-old female inspector was found by colleagues with a gunshot wound to the head in the gun room's loading area; she was already not breathing and pulseless at the time and was later confirmed dead. Police are currently investigating the incident, and the East Kowloon Regional Crime Unit has taken over the case. The police stated that they are investigating an incident involving the death of a police officer at Kwun Tong Police Station on the morning of the 25th. At around 7:45 a.m., police discovered a 23-year-old female officer from the Kwun Tong District uniformed patrol unit injured in the loading and unloading ammunition area of the station. She had a gunshot wound to her head and was confirmed dead at the scene. A service revolver was found beside her body. According to preliminary investigation, it is believed that she used her issued service revolver to commit suicide. The police will later arrange for an autopsy to ascertain the cause of death. The case is being followed up by the East Kowloon Regional Crime Unit. The police expressed deep sorrow and regret over the incident and extended condolences to the officer's family, while also providing appropriate assistance.
According to on-site observations, a large number of police officers gathered on the ground floor of Kwun Tong Police Station after the incident. The loading and unloading area was cordoned off for investigation, believed to be the site of the incident, and the personnel on site were solemn. Commissioner Siu Chak-yee arrived at the scene around 9 a.m. to inspect and entered the loading and unloading ammunition area to examine the location, also consoling the deceased officer's family. During the period, a woman believed to be a relative of the deceased arrived at the scene, visibly grieving, and had to be supported and comforted by others.

It is understood that the police found a suicide note on the deceased's phone, mainly mentioning feelings of pressure at work. The 23-year-old female inspector in question had transferred from an auxiliary police position to a regular one and graduated last September, after which she was assigned to Kwun Tong Police District. She once served in the criminal investigation department, but was later transferred back to uniformed patrol. It is known that she had previously expressed that she felt heavy work pressure and had considered resigning. That morning, she started work by going to the gun room to collect her service revolver, then shot herself alone in the loading area.
