A 53-year-old man in Guangdong, China died after he suddenly collapsed during a sexual transaction with a prostitute in a hotel in May this year. Despite immediate rescue efforts, he could not be revived. Afterwards, the man's family filed a lawsuit in court, demanding 1.31 million RMB (about 851,500 Malaysian Ringgit) in compensation from the prostitute but was rejected by the court.
According to the Yangcheng Evening News, the judgment stated that the deceased, surnamed Xie, met the woman, surnamed Luo, in January this year, and they had engaged in four sexual transactions prior. On May 21, they once again met at a hotel. After showering, while chatting with the woman, the man suddenly experienced convulsions, his eyes rolled up, and he immediately collapsed.
The woman immediately called the police and summoned an ambulance. Emergency personnel arrived at the scene 10 minutes later, but the man was ultimately pronounced dead.
The deceased man's family filed a lawsuit in August demanding a total of 1.31 million RMB in death compensation and funeral expenses from the woman. After a court hearing on the 18th of this month, the court ruled that the man's death was due to sudden illness caused by his own medical condition. The woman had already fulfilled her duty to seek prompt help by reporting the incident in time. Therefore, the family's compensation request was rejected.
