Zhang Linghe Comforts Fans Over Foot Injury: 'I Don't Want to Stop Myself'

Published at Apr 29, 2026 12:04 pm
Chinese actor Zhang Linghe recently experienced discomfort in his leg while filming the new drama "Gui Luan," and needed assistance to stand on set. After related footage was exposed, it sparked public concern and worry among fans. In response, he personally released several voice messages to reassure everyone, emphasizing that the injury isn't serious. His studio also issued a statement, indicating that after check-ups, there are no major issues, and he is currently undergoing continued treatment and recovery.

In his voice messages, Zhang Linghe immediately tried to put fans at ease: “Hello, hello, I just woke up and saw so many people online worrying about my injury, but you really don’t have to worry so much.” He explained that the injury is just like twisting an ankle while playing basketball, “It might be a bit inconvenient the day before yesterday, but I’ll slowly recover. It’s true, this is honestly a very minor issue for me.” He sounded relaxed, stressing that the situation is under control.

He further mentioned that collisions are inevitable during filming: “A few bumps and knocks while filming are very normal.” He revealed that even when his parents ask out of concern, he doesn’t share too many details, “because I’m afraid others will worry,” believing it’s enough that he’s aware of the situation himself. He even added, “Boys, you know, it’s no big deal!” trying to ease public anxiety.

Furthermore, he admitted the crew is close to wrapping up, and filming is intensive every day: “Everyone works so hard filming every day; I don’t want the whole crew waiting just for me.” He went on to say that if production progress were affected by such a minor injury, “I’d really feel bad about it, and I don’t want that to happen.” He also mentioned that during the airing of "Zhu Yu," he noticed many fans and viewers putting in effort to promote the show on his behalf, “I’m truly touched, so I don’t want to stop myself—how should I put it—the show really can’t afford delays like this.”

The studio further explained that on the 25th, while filming a fight scene, Zhang Linghe experienced slight hypoglycemia due to physical exertion and insufficient sugar intake. After replenishing energy, there were no more discomforts; the next day, due to leg pain, he saw a doctor and was diagnosed with a muscle strain and given physical therapy. A check-up on the 27th confirmed there was no more serious issue. He is now following medical advice to adjust his routine, reduce exertion with his left leg, and optimize both his diet and work schedule.

The studio emphasized that the artist’s health would always be the top priority and urged the public to assess information rationally, “Don’t believe rumors, don’t spread rumors,” and thanked everyone for their concern.

Wild Encounter: Tian Xiwe in France

Additionally, Tian Xiwe has also seen a surge in popularity thanks to "Zhu Yu." In the early hours of the 29th, she delighted her fans by posting a string of photos, seemingly taken in France. As "Zhu Yu" has also generated enthusiastic responses in other countries overseas, the rare update from abroad drew responses from local fans.

In the series of photos, Tian Xiwe first shared a pouting selfie, in contrast to the heavier makeup of her drama roles. Off-screen, she was nearly barefaced, with clear, luminous skin and naturally-shaped brows. Only half of her face is shown, with deep double eyelids and defined eye bags making her eyes look extra round and bright. The photos appear to be taken in Nice, France: she is seen outdoors wearing a black baseball cap and dressed all in black, with one photo featuring a large local seafood platter, presumably about to indulge in some delicious food.

Fans flooded the comments: “So pretty even without makeup,” “I’m glad you’re eating well.” Some French fans commented: “Wow, I’m so happy to see my favorite person in my country. Hope you have a great time.”
