South Korean sensation boy band BTS (Bangtan Boys) traveled to Mexico City for a concert tour. Before officially taking the stage, all 7 members were invited today to the Mexican presidential palace, the 'National Palace,' to meet President Sheinbaum (Claudia Sheinbaum), and appeared on the balcony to wave at the large crowd of fans gathered below, sparking non-stop screams at the scene. Related footage is now going viral across social media.

From the photos taken at the scene, the BTS members are seen interacting with fans from the National Palace's balcony, with the plaza below packed with people, creating a spectacular sight. Many fans excitedly exclaimed, 'It’s just like a royal procession,' and 'It’s the first time seeing so many people gathered outside the presidential palace.' Some also joked, 'Now I finally understand why the Mexican president personally invited BTS.'
Before even performing, BTS heads straight into the Mexican presidential palace, instantly packing the square with 50,000 ARMY fans.
According to AFP and The Korea Herald, BTS will hold a total of three concerts in Mexico City on the 7th, 9th, and 10th. Tickets sold out quickly after sales opened, with more than 135,000 tickets snatched up in a short time, once again demonstrating their immense popularity.

The Mexico City Chamber of Commerce is also optimistic about the economic impact of these concerts, estimating the three events could bring about US$107.5 million (approximately RM683 million) in business opportunities, including spending on accommodation, transportation, dining, and tourism.

BTS had suspended group activities since 2022 due to members successively fulfilling their mandatory military service in South Korea. It was not until this March that they officially returned to the stage as the full 7-member lineup, marking their first full-scale tour in nearly four years.
