(Miri, 19th) Lian Lu Zhongxue (Lian Zhong School) hosted their annual "Goodwill Visit" from the 12th to the 15th of this month, welcoming nearly 850 primary six students from nine different primary schools. This event not only provided a great opportunity to understand the campus culture of Lian Zhong, but also served as a crucial platform for Lian Zhong to showcase its unique educational philosophy and future plans.

In a sharing session, Mr. Lai De Wen, the teacher in charge, mentioned that Lian Zhong's junior high school science and math courses have aligned with the Cambridge curriculum, providing students with an international standard of academic training. Meanwhile, the school is actively promoting Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) courses, currently focusing on baking and culinary courses. The establishment of TVET courses not only meets current market demands but also paves the way for students' future career development. He also mentioned that the Ministry of Education is actively working to secure a minimum wage for TVET graduates, hoping to achieve minimum salaries of 4,000 and 5,000 ringgit for diploma and equivalent to degree graduates respectively by 2027, further highlighting the importance of technical vocational education.

During the event, Principal Jiang Peijuan of Lian Zhong detailed the school's six core values: respect, gratitude, empathy, integrity, diligence, and excellence. These core values not only form the foundation of the school's education but also prepare students to have a firm footing in the ever-changing future society. In terms of curriculum, in addition to independent and national curricula, Lian Zhong has integrated a variety of course content that aligns with global educational trends and national development needs. These include courses linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Cambridge English and German teaching, and forward-looking programming clubs. Moreover, Lian Zhong plans to introduce new extracurricular activities like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and STEM next year to further expand students' technological thinking.

Principal Jiang stated, "Lian Zhong has long been focused on the future, understanding that education needs to advance with the times. We not only hope that students excel academically, but also expect them to become proactive pillars of society." The successful launch of TVET courses this year at Lian Zhong fully reflects the school's keen insight into future trends. As the global economy undergoes transformation and upgrading, the combination of technology and vocational skills will become an indispensable development direction. As a leading educational institution in the region, Lian Zhong is guiding students towards a brighter future with its spirit of innovation and educational mission.
