(Penang, 2nd) — A housewife from Penang became an instant multi-millionaire by winning the whopping 6/58 Toto Jackpot prize worth over RM40.1 million, all thanks to the 'Lucky Computer Pick' method last Wednesday (January 28, 2026).
The 72-year-old fortunate winner has been a long-time fan of Toto games, having started buying tickets since the 1980s. On every draw day, she would routinely visit a Toto outlet while shopping for daily necessities. On that particular day, she noticed the jackpot amount had accumulated to RM40 million, so she decided to try her luck by buying a System 10 ticket using the 'Lucky Computer Pick' method.
Recalling the winning night, she said she was too restless to sleep and got up in the middle of the night to check her ticket. As she matched each number on her ticket, she realized that her winning combination—19, 29, 32, 39, 40, and 54—had hit the jackpot, and only then did she realize she had won big.
She said: “When I checked the numbers one by one and saw I matched all the winning numbers, I just couldn’t believe it. I was so excited that I couldn’t sleep the whole night, but I am grateful and will continue to live a simple life.”
Because she played the System 10 method, besides the RM40,120,690.20 jackpot prize, she also won additional prizes, totaling RM173,152.
She claimed her prize at the Toto headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, accompanied by her husband, after driving from Penang. The couple said they have no specific plans for the newfound wealth yet but will manage it prudently.
The winner’s husband added: “We feel very grateful to have received such a big red packet before Chinese New Year. My wife bought the lottery just for fun, and we have no plans to splurge. We will share a portion of the prize with family, and the rest will be kept as savings and fixed deposits to ensure long-term financial stability.”
