UN Secretary-General's spokesperson Dujarric stated on the 6th that the United Nations firmly believes in the inviolability of the territorial integrity of its member states and will continue to uphold this principled position.
He made these remarks while responding to a question from a Xinhua News Agency reporter at a press conference.
He said that the United Nations has taken note of recent statements by U.S. leaders regarding Greenland and is concerned about them.
He emphasized that the United Nations' principled position is to firmly believe in the inviolability of the territorial integrity of member states and that the United Nations will continue to defend this stance. The Secretary-General will also continue to promote this position both in public and in private occasions.
