Recently, Hong Kong media outlet East Week reported that a gift theft took place at Lok’s 2025 birthday party. Reportedly, a male celebrity at the scene allegedly took the Labubu doll bouquet, which was a gift from singer Brian Chow (Chow Kit Pak) to Lok. The incident has sparked heated discussions online.
According to Hong Kong’s Sing Tao Daily, Chow Kit Pak, the gift giver, confirmed the theft Tuesday (July 7) when attending an event and being interviewed. He revealed that he suddenly discovered the dolls from the bouquet had all gone missing during the party. Unable to locate them, he sought help from the restaurant staff to review surveillance footage, which clearly showed the dolls being taken.
The report stated that the person who took the dolls at the scene was a male artist about 40 years old, who is now no longer with TVB and has shifted his career to mainland China. The actor privately explained to insiders that he was “under a lot of pressure” at the time and thought Virginia Lok wouldn’t notice a missing gift, so he acted on impulse and now deeply regrets it.
Chow Kit Pak stated that the said actor did not return the dolls on the spot, but later returned them to the owner and even repackaged them. The bouquet is still being kept in Virginia Lok’s office. When pressed about whether the culprit matches rumors of being a “married, 40-something former TVB ‘good dad’ actor,” Chow stated that he did identify the person through surveillance footage, but does not know his exact age or background and declined to disclose further details.

Other netizens pointed out that Oscar Leung’s name could no longer be found in the artist list on TVB’s official website; furthermore, the Shaw Brothers website’s artist section had also removed him.
According to Hong Kong media reports, the theft incident last year coincided with the airing of the Shaw Brothers’ drama ‘The Enforcers’. The day after Lok’s birthday party, Oscar Leung still attended a promotional event for the show, but at the scene, he appeared downcast and seemed troubled throughout. In subsequent promotional events and the drama’s finale banquet after July 1, even though Oscar Leung had a significant role in the series, he was never seen again.
Additionally, Shaw Brothers’ social media has not posted any news about Oscar Leung since July 4 last year.
