Bukit Barun Water Plant Maintenance: Temporary Water Supply Disruption Due to Pipeline Works

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 2nd) — The Public Works Department (PWD) under the Ministry of Development issued a statement yesterday, informing the public that Phase 7 of the Bukit Barun Water Treatment Plant will commence pipeline maintenance works starting from 8 PM on January 6, continuing until completion.
The maintenance works may result in temporary water supply disruptions or reduced water pressure in parts of Brunei-Muara District. The repair works on the transmission pipeline are expected to take approximately 12 hours.
Affected areas include: Kampong Perpindahan Negara Lugu, Kampong Perpindahan Negara Lambak Kiri, Berakas Camp, parts of Kampong Lambak Kanan, the Defence Academy of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, parts of Kampong Tanah Jambu, Kampong Salambigar, Kampong Meragang, and surrounding areas.

Residents affected may collect water from blue water tanks placed at designated locations. These locations include Kampong Perpindahan Negara Lugu at Jalan Ambin, Jalan Basung, and Jalan Lasuk; at Taman Riadah PN Meragang, Jalan Binglu Tengah, PN Tanah Jambu, and Masjid Kampong Tanah Jambu within STKRJ Kampong Lambak Kiri Mosque; and the Meragang National Housing Scheme and Tanah Jambu National Housing Scheme.
The blue water tanks for the Lambak Kanan National Housing Scheme are located near the community hall at Jalan 77, the open area of Masjid PN Lambak Kanan, near the community hall at Jalan 1 Lambak Kanan 1, Jalan 31, Jalan 11, Jalan 64, and Jalan 3.
