(Sibu, 13th) Seventeen unions under the Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services Malaysia (CUEPACS) participated yesterday in the "Basics of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Organization and Union Management" workshop held in Sibu.
This one-day workshop, organized by the Gred Sarawak-level union, is the second stop after the first session held in Kuching in March this year. It attracted about 80 participants from all over Sarawak.
CUEPACS National Vice President and Economic & Agriculture Level Representative, Azman Ahmad, expressed his satisfaction at the participants' high level of focus and commitment during the event.
He said: "Representatives and union members from Sibu are very fortunate to have the opportunity to gain AI-related knowledge for free, with lessons taught by experienced experts in their respective fields."
"Therefore, I encourage all participants to actively ask questions and truly understand the practical uses of AI in daily administration and workflow."
He also pointed out that Sibu is the second stop for the CUEPACS AI team’s workshop tour in Sarawak, and that in the future, the event may be expanded to more regions based on demand and geographic scope.
Meanwhile, Gred Sarawak Deputy Chairman Zulkiflee Sebli also thanked the sub-unions for their enthusiastic response and revealed that applications to host similar workshops have already come from the Northern Zone (Zon Utara).
He said: "We will evaluate suitable dates so that more people can participate in this training."
"This workshop is very interesting. The lecturers brought a lot of new knowledge, which was highly beneficial."
