Rumors of F4 Reunion Concert - Vic Chou: If You Want to Make Money, Don't Look for Me

Formed by Vic Chou (Zai Zai), Jerry Yan, Ken Chu, and Vanness Wu, F4 became a sensation across Asia in 2001 but disbanded in 2009. They only reunited in 2013 for a Spring Festival Gala performance of "Meteor Rain" and at that time expressed wishes to hold a concert, which never materialized. Yesterday (4th), it was reported by a weekly magazine that, through the mediation of Believe Music, an agreement has been reached to hold a 25th-anniversary concert in 2026.

Vic Chou attended an event for "The World Between Us II" yesterday, where he spoke about the possibility of the group's reunion, stating he hopes it happens but "if it's purely about making money, then don't bother reaching out to me."

Vic Chou revealed that every year there is a chance for an F4 reunion, "Every year, people come to us, hoping it can happen." But how likely is it? Vic Chou was cautious, "I don't know. I think maybe I have my own expectations for F4. If it's just about making money, then don't come looking for me. There may need to be some planning involved, we'll see." When asked which team member wanted to make money, Vic Chou avoided the trap, replying coolly, "You go ask them, why ask me?"

Given that people reach out every year, what's the hold-up? Vic Chou explained that since the four are with different companies, "I" received an approach from a certain big boss or benefactor, I said that's great, doing F4 activities doesn't stress me much, because I'm the youngest within the group, so I can be carefree and say what I want, have some fun, why wouldn't I want that? But just tell me your thoughts."

He tells the proposers like this every time, and they all respond, "Okay, we'll come back to you with our thoughts." However, Vic Chou lamented, "It's like this every year, the issues raised are not answered correctly." Do the proposers just disappear? Actually, Vic Chou never contacts them proactively, "Basically when there's work inquiry, I throw the questions at them." But there’s never any follow-up.
