(Seria, 28th) Wenchong Vice Chairman Wang Changhe stated that we are gathered today in He Ping Hall to jointly celebrate this sacred day belonging to all faculty and staff. First of all, on behalf of the Wenchong Board, he extends the sincerest holiday greetings and highest respect to all hardworking faculty and staff! Thank you for your wisdom and dedication to the vigorous development of the school and the healthy growth of students.
“Wenchong has a history spanning more than a century. It is not only a place for imparting knowledge, but also a bridge and fortress for inheriting Chinese culture and promoting moral education and compassion. Every teacher is a practitioner of this mission. With your love, wisdom, and dedication, you nurture the growth of every student, injecting inexhaustible vitality into the school’s continued prosperity. Here, I wish to thank you all. Your hard work is deeply appreciated!”
Wang Changhe made these remarks yesterday while serving as the guest of honor at Wenchong’s Teachers' Day Celebration and Awards Ceremony held at He Ping Hall.
He said that the development of education cannot be separated from a good social environment. The Board will continue to work hard to ensure Wenchong not only provides high-quality educational services, but also continues to develop and innovate in a constantly changing environment, constantly improving the working and living conditions of teachers, and striving to foster a stronger social culture that respects teachers and values education.
On this special day, we not only appreciate the kindness of our teachers, but cannot help recalling those memorable moments in the school's history. Ten years ago, on September 22, 2015, the 'Wang Changhe Pedestrian Bridge,' which I solely funded, was officially opened. It is not just a building connecting the campus to Simarot Road on the opposite side; it is also an initiative to care for the convenience and safety of teachers and students commuting to campus and a measure to improve our environment. It has become an integral part of everyone’s learning and life and stands as a beautiful landmark of the Wenchong campus. To commemorate the bridge’s 10th anniversary of operation, I have prepared 191 souvenirs for all faculty and staff, plus 100 more souvenirs to be given to students via a lucky draw.
However, the long-term use of any facility requires our careful maintenance. Here, I hope all teachers, students, parents, and the public will cherish and protect the bridge well, so that this convenience and safety can be passed down continuously, allowing future generations of students to enjoy its benefits for years to come.
He said, teachers, the journey of education is long and noble. Let us join hands and devote ourselves to work and study with even greater passion, continue to uphold the fine tradition of respecting teachers and valuing education, dedicate ourselves to teaching and nurturing talents, and strive for the future development of Wenchong!
Lastly, he once again wished all faculty and staff a happy holiday, good health, smooth work, and family happiness! May Wenchong’s school affairs continue to prosper and reach new heights!
