IDF Bombs Hezbollah Targets in Southern Lebanon

Published at Jul 04, 2025 11:02 am
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement on the 3rd, saying that Israeli fighter jets had bombed several Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon based on intelligence that day.

The statement pointed out that the IDF airstrikes targeted Hezbollah's weapons storage sites, military infrastructure, and other objectives. Hezbollah's armed and military activities violate the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire agreement.

According to the Lebanese National News Agency, multiple areas in the Nabatieh Governorate in southern Lebanon were bombed by the IDF on the evening of the 3rd. In addition, an Israeli drone hit a car driving on the road in Hay al-Lade in the suburbs of Lebanon's capital Beirut, resulting in one death and three injuries.

Since the outbreak of the new round of Israeli-Palestinian conflict in October 2023, Hezbollah in Lebanon has from time to time used drones and anti-tank missiles to attack northern Israel, supporting Hamas fighting the IDF in Gaza. The IDF responded with airstrikes and shelling of southern Lebanese targets. In September last year, the Israel-Lebanon conflict suddenly escalated. The IDF then launched a large-scale ground offensive. In November last year, Israel and Lebanon reached a ceasefire agreement.

After the ceasefire agreement was reached, Israel continued to frequently carry out airstrikes on Hezbollah targets, causing casualties. The Lebanese government has repeatedly accused Israel of violating the ceasefire agreement.
