(Bandar Seri Begawan, 12th) Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, Crown Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah and Crown Princess Sarah arrived yesterday at Beijing Capital International Airport, China.
Upon arrival, the delegation was received by Chinese Communist Party Foreign Affairs Committee Member and Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Hua Chunying, as well as the incoming Chinese Ambassador to Brunei Chen Shaochun and his wife.
Chargé d'affaires of the Brunei Embassy in China Mohd Saifuddin and his wife were also present to welcome them.
During this official visit, the Crown Prince will meet separately with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Vice President Han Zheng, Shenzhen Party Secretary Jin Lei, and Director of the General Administration of Sport Gao Zhidan.
The Crown Prince will also visit the General Administration of Sport, Leju Robotics Headquarters, and Huawei Headquarters.
This is the Crown Prince's second official visit to China. His first official visit was in 2002, and in 2007, the Crown Prince made a working visit to China and attended the 4th China–ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO).
This official visit reflects the long-standing friendly relations between Brunei and China.
This year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries; this visit provides an opportunity to further strengthen bilateral relations and lay a solid foundation for enhanced exchanges and cooperation.
