(Miri, 14th) Miri Hainan Association held a grand centennial celebration last night in the banquet hall of the Imperial Palace Hotel, while simultaneously celebrating the 47th anniversary of the Youth League, the 27th anniversary of the Women's Group, and the 14th anniversary of the Elderly Group.

This grand celebration marks not only an important moment in the history of the Miri Hainan Association but also a grand event for the entire Hainan community.
Representatives from Hainan Associations in Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu, Brunei Seria, Brunei Kuala Belait, Sabah Keningau, Perak, Johor Kulai, Batu Pahat, Labuan, and Klang gathered together to witness this historical moment.
This grand banquet serves not only as a review of the century-long journey of the Miri Hainan Association but also as praise for the spirit of unity and struggle of the Hainanese people. Moving forward, the Miri Hainan Association will continue to progress from its new historical starting point and write more glorious chapters.

Chairman of the Preparatory Committee, Jan Yunzhou, stated in his speech at the banquet that he is immensely excited and honored to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Miri Hainan Association with fellow Hainanese from various regions. He especially thanked the guests who traveled from across the country, particularly the representatives from various Hainan Associations, for making this grand event even more magnificent and meaningful.
He pointed out that this celebration, themed "A Century Together, Hainan United," is a reflection on the past century's journey and a look forward to a better future.
Jan Yunzhou emphasized that since its inception in 1924, the Miri Hainan Association has been through the collective efforts and struggles of several generations of Hainanese. The association has not only witnessed the growth of the Miri Hainan community but also provided a platform for unity, mutual aid, and joint development for the entire Hainan ethnic group.
He stated that the Miri Hainan Association has always been a spiritual home for the Hainan people in the past century, carrying the dreams and aspirations of the Hainan people. Whether it is cultural heritage or social development, the association has played a crucial role in various fields.
During the banquet, the Miri Hainan Association also celebrated the 47th anniversary of the Youth League, the 27th anniversary of the Women's Group, and the 14th anniversary of the Elderly Group.

Since its inception 27 years ago, the Women's Group has played a significant role in enhancing the status of women and promoting community harmony. Jan Yunzhou noted that the Women's Group symbolizes the wisdom and strength of Hainan women, who excel in multiple roles in family, work, and society, contributing to family happiness and the association's continuous development. Through various activities, the Women's Group has enriched the lives of Hainan women and elevated their status in society, promoting community harmony and unity.
Additionally, the Elderly Group symbolizes the association's care for the elderly and respect for wisdom. Over the past 14 years, the Elderly Group has been dedicated to providing rich social and cultural activities for the elderly, allowing them to feel warmth and care from the community.

He also thanked all the council members, the Youth League, the Women's Group, and other staff members who contributed to this celebration.
