Los Angeles Wildfire Kills Former Child Star, Tom Hanks' Mansion Miraculously Intact

The wildfire raging in Los Angeles, California, has resulted in as many as 11 fatalities. The luxury homes of Hollywood stars are also severely affected, and among the victims is child star Rory Callum Sykes. Due to cerebral palsy, he was unable to escape the fire in time and passed away at the age of 32.

Rory's mother posted online, mentioning that they originally lived in a small house in Malibu Hills. The fire came fast and fierce, and Rory's last words to her were: "You go!" However, no mother would heartlessly leave their child. But at that time, her hand was already fractured, making it impossible to carry Rory. After firefighters rescued her, they went back, but it was too late to save Rory.

In addition, 68-year-old Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks and his wife reside in the Pacific Palisades community. While his neighbors' houses were reduced to ashes, his home remained unscathed, described as a miracle by many. Even though action star Mark Wahlberg was in London filming, he was one of the first to offer help. He took to Instagram to announce providing free meals and rest spaces for rescuers and victims. Jennie, a member of the K-pop group "BLACKPINK," also posted on IG: "Los Angeles is a place so close and precious to me, and my heart breaks for everyone affected by the wildfire there."

She also mentioned, "Many families, communities, and first responders are facing unimaginable challenges and losses. I'm with you, hoping everyone can help as much as they can. Please stay strong and take good care of each other."
