(Miri, 9th) Miri Weixin Paradise will organize a charity sale on July 22 at the Civil Centre to raise operational funds, hoping to receive generous support from people from all walks of life!

Democratic Action Party Sarawak secretary Lin Si Jian also led by example, sponsoring 10 household gift baskets with his limited resources for the items to be sold during the charity sale.

“I hope my modest contribution can have a catalyzing effect, and I also call on the public to enthusiastically support the event organized by Miri Weixin Paradise. As a non-governmental organization, they need funding to sustain the operation of the centre.”

Recently accompanied by DAP Miri Youth Chief Wen Kaifu and others, Lin Si Jian personally delivered the 10 gift baskets to the Weixin Paradise centre and held a simple handover ceremony and exchange.

He also had his first tour of the centre accompanied by the vice president of Weixin Paradise, Dai Jinzhong, and other committee members, and expressed heartfelt gratitude for their dedication.

He said that he learned the centre's special swimming pool consumes a lot of electricity, with high monthly bills. Together with the costs for instructors, gardeners, and so on, the centre relies each month on donations from kind-hearted people and government subsidies to keep running, making it very challenging to operate.

“Society needs warmth. If everyone shows a little kindness in their own way, society will be filled with positive energy and demonstrate empathy. I also call on companies to consider adoption programs as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals.”

Lin Si Jian urged everyone to participate in the charity sale organized by Miri Weixin Paradise, which aims to raise funds for treatment, care, and development programs for children with cerebral palsy. He encouraged everyone to contribute what they can, whether financially or through volunteering, and to unite in advancing this charitable cause.
