(City, 12th) Sun De'an, President of the World Chinese Writers Association and Brunei Chinese Literature and Arts Federation, today led teachers Huang Bingxian, Li Fenghe, Xing Xiuzhu, Chen Yiqin, and Lin Meiyu to the Temburong Training School to promote Chinese culture.
In his speech, President Sun expressed his immense joy and gratitude, representing the World Chinese Writers Association and the Brunei Chinese Literature and Arts Federation. He led the calligraphy promotion team into Temburong Training School to participate in this far-reaching "Promotion of Chinese Calligraphy" activity. He sincerely thanked Principal Tang Guanshun for his meticulous arrangements and also thanked all the teachers and students for the warm welcome and active participation!
He stated that the association brought the seeds of Chinese calligraphy to Brunei's most remote educational institutions, extending the veins of world Chinese culture to the most distant lands. This is not only a dissemination of culture but also a transmission of belief. He firmly believes that as long as the seeds of culture are planted, they will eventually blossom, root, and sprout.
"Brush calligraphy is a treasure of Chinese culture, an artistic crystallization of millennia of civilization. It is not just a writing skill but an internal cultivation, a serene mindset, and a reflection of national spirit. Between every stroke, there lingers the echoes of history, the emotions of literati, and the imprints of the era. We come to your school, hoping to entrust the beauty of this long-standing cultural heritage to the younger generation."
During the day's activities, the association shared historical stories, character legends, and cultural sentiments behind brush calligraphy. This allowed everyone to understand more deeply that calligraphy is not just an art of beauty but a flow of emotion and a spiritual practice.
The association, along with teachers and students, picked up brushes, experiencing the power between each stroke, writing their first piece, letting the fragrance of ink waft through the campus, integrating traditional culture into life and heart.
It is gratifying that members of the school board also participated in the event, joining the grand occasion. This cultural atmosphere of teachers and students united, with the school board acting together, is the best manifestation of Chinese spirit taking root overseas.
The association's teachers shared their insights and provided personal guidance, making calligraphy not only an art to watch but also an experience to participate in. May this ink-filled morning become a warm and profound cultural memory in everyone's hearts.
Attending the event were Xie Hanyang, Chairman of the Board of Temburong Training School, former Chairman Hong Binghui, Principal Tang Guanshun, board teachers, and students.
