A total of 207.1 million voters are set to cast their ballots in Indonesia’s 2024 simultaneous regional elections (Pilkada) on Wednesday, which will determine leadership across 545 regions, including 37 provinces, 415 regencies, and 93 cities.
The General Elections Commission (KPU) has reported that the voter base is nearly evenly divided, with 103.2 million men and 103.9 million women eligible to vote for regional leaders, including governors, regents (Bupati), and mayors (Wali Kota).
