(Miri, 6th) Miri Police District Chief Assistant Director Alexson Naga stated that in coordination with the Miri Christmas Parade to be held on the 7th of this month at Fan-shaped Park, the police will start closing several roads from 4:30 PM until the end of the event.
The roads to be closed include Bulatan Kipas/Jalan Kipas, Simpang Jalan Merpati, Jalan Persekutuan/Jalan Sylvia, Jalan Post/Jalan Sylvia, and Traffic Light Ambank.
Additionally, to ensure the smooth running of the event, several roads will also be rerouted:
1. Jalan Merdu - Detour to Jalan Bintang Jaya 5
2. Traffic Light Jalan Syilvia - Detour to Jalan Brooke
3. Traffic Light Jalan Brooke - Detour to Jalan Kingsway
4. Traffic Light Jalan Kingsway (In front of Old Resident Office) - Detour to Jalan Padang.
5. Jalan Melayu/Jalan Kingsway. Route from Jalan Melayu Detour to Jalan Cina
6. Bulatan Kenyalang - Detour to Jalan Bendahara and Jalan High Street
7. Traffic Light Jalan Nakhoda Gampar - Direct Detour to Jalan Permaisuri
8. Traffic Light Jalan Merbau (Mega Hotel) - Detour to Jalan Masjid
Participants planning to attend the event are advised to park their cars at the parking lot near Bindang National Primary School and Miri Indoor Stadium or Miri Stadium's parking lot.
