Celebrating a New Phase of Malaysia-China Relations with RTM Broadcasting the Malay Version of 'Xi Jinping's Classical Quotes'

In conjunction with Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to Malaysia, the Malay version of 'Xi Jinping's Classical Quotes', produced by the China Central Radio and Television Corporation, officially commenced broadcasting. The program will also be launched on Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) and other mainstream media platforms starting today, aimed at enhancing cultural exchange between Malaysia and China. 'Xi Jinping's Classical Quotes' focuses on themes such as a community with a shared future for humanity, cultural heritage and innovation, ecological protection, and civilizational exchange, featuring selected important speeches and classic sayings by President Xi, vividly showcasing his governance wisdom and cultural depth.

During the launching ceremony, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr. Ong Kian Ming, stated that President Xi's visit coincides with Malaysia taking the chairmanship of ASEAN in 2025, marking a new phase of development in Malaysia-China relations. He noted that President Xi has expressed that China's openness will only continue to expand, a perspective aligned with the current global situation. "Malaysia will actively adopt China's development model in areas such as technological innovation, trade, and culture, strengthening cooperation with China to achieve shared prosperity."
Dr. Ong Kian Ming pointed out that President Xi's visit coincides with Malaysia taking the chairmanship of ASEAN in 2025, marking a new phase of development in Malaysia-China relations.
Deputy Minister of Communications, Teo Nie Ching, noted that President Xi's visit will promote cooperation in the cultural and creative industries between Malaysia and China, particularly in film production. She hopes his visit will attract more Chinese producers to choose Malaysia as a filming location, utilizing the country's rich natural and cultural resources. She also mentioned that cooperation in media is a testament to the long-term friendship between the two nations, and through enhanced program production and technical cooperation, both sides can increase their influence in the global media landscape. She is confident about future collaborations in areas like film and talent development, believing this visit will create more cooperation opportunities and deepen friendships between the peoples.

Deputy Prime Minister Dato' Seri Ahmad Zahid sent a congratulatory message on the successful launch of 'Xi Jinping's Classical Quotes', emphasizing that it represents an important milestone in Malaysia-China cultural cooperation. He also expressed appreciation for the contributions made by the China Central Radio and Television Corporation in cultural exchanges, believing it plays an important role in enhancing understanding between nations.

Shen Haixiong, Vice Minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China and Director of the China Central Radio and Television Corporation, emphasized during the event that Malaysia-China relations are flourishing under the guidance of the leaders of both nations. He stated that the 'Xi Jinping's Classical Quotes' program serves not only as a vivid practice of cultural exchange but also as an important bridge to promote friendship and cooperation among countries, providing a new window for audiences to understand Chinese civilization and China's modernization development.
Teo Nie Ching said cooperation in the media field is a testament to the long-term friendship between the two countries, and through enhanced program production and technical cooperation, both sides can increase their influence on the global media stage.
Additionally, during a video address, Huang Yuyin mentioned that President Xi Jinping's concept of a community with a shared future for humanity is gaining more recognition and support worldwide. The program's themes, such as green development and cultural heritage protection, showcase President Xi's governance wisdom, and he hopes it will receive a similar welcome among the Malaysian audience.

Also, at the event, the China Central Radio and Television Corporation and related Malaysian institutions exchanged Memorandums of Understanding on cooperation, launched the 'Travel to China with Movies' initiative, introduced the Giant Panda Imaging Cooperation Program, released achievements in Malaysia-China media cooperation, and commenced the Malaysian Media China Tour.
