Knife Attack in Guangxi: 3 Dead, 1 Injured

A knife attack occurred at a residential complex in Chengguan Town, Xincheng County, Guangxi, China on the morning of the 19th, resulting in 3 deaths and 1 injury. Local police are investigating.

An official police bulletin from Xincheng County, Guangxi stated that around 7:00 am, a knife attack occurred at a residential complex in Chengguan Town, Xincheng County, causing 3 deaths and 1 injury. The suspect, Guo Moumou (male, 35 years old), has been taken into custody by the authorities, and the injured person has been sent to hospital for treatment. The case is under further investigation.

In October this year, a 69-year-old man in a residential complex in Liuzhou, Guangxi attacked neighbors with a knife and then fell from a building, causing 4 deaths (including the suspect) and 1 injury.

Several knife attacks have occurred in China over the past year. In August this year, a knife attack near a primary school in Leiyang, Hunan Province left 2 dead and 3 injured; in June, a knife attack and arson in Luzhou, Sichuan resulted in 1 death and 2 injuries, among other incidents.
