The global sensation 'Squid Game' Season 2, despite controversies over casting choices such as T.O.P’s awkward acting and the “Hyun-Joo” actor Park Sung-Hoon’s involvement in a “Squid AV photo” scandal, continues to heat up. Yesterday, it was reported that Hollywood megastar Leonardo DiCaprio would join the third season, causing worldwide fans to get excited.

According to an exclusive report by Korean media OSEN yesterday, Leonardo is set to appear in the third season, noting that he secretly completed filming last year. Although his scenes are reportedly few, specifics about his role and other details cannot be revealed due to spoiler concerns.

However, Netflix promptly responded to this news, stating: “We have indeed heard about Leonardo's involvement, but this information is not true.” The rumor surfaced as a result of Leonardo DiCaprio meeting Lee Jung-Jae at an award ceremony after the first season aired in 2021. The following year at the SAG Awards, when Lee Jung-Jae was asked which actor he would like to see most, he mentioned Leonardo, leading fans to speculate about a possible collaboration.

'Squid Game' continues to captivate, with Netflix revealing yesterday that the second season's first-week global viewing time reached approximately 480 million hours, ranking second across the two seasons, only behind the first season’s single-week record of 570 million hours, showcasing the series' massive global influence.
