21-year-old rapper D.Ark (real name Kim Woo-Rim, Chinese stage name Di Ya Ke) has reportedly been arrested by the Mokpo Police Department in South Korea for violating drug control laws. He is currently still in detention under investigation, but he continues to deny the allegations of drug use and distribution.

D.Ark was born in China and went to South Korea to pursue his career at the age of 15. He has participated in rap shows such as 'High School Rapper' and 'Show Me the Money 777.' However, in the past, he reportedly made remarks like 'being born in China against my will,' which led Chinese netizens to feel that he was insulting China.
Additionally, during the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, competition between Chinese and Korean athletes in short track speed skating was intense, resulting in heated disputes. In the semifinals, two Korean athletes were originally set to advance, but after video review, they were disqualified for fouls and Chinese athletes advanced instead. At the time, many Korean celebrities criticized the referees for being unfair, and D.Ark also posted angry comments saying 'the refereeing is unfair.' Chinese netizens felt he was too pro-Korean and slammed him online. The next day, he claimed that his poor Chinese expression caused misunderstandings and declared, 'I love my motherland.' After his current arrest for drug offenses, many media reports have described him as a 'Chinese rapper,' which has once again angered Chinese netizens, who criticized, 'At this moment he suddenly becomes a Chinese rapper again?'
