Iranian Foreign Minister Aragchi stated on the 9th that Iran has agreed to hold the fourth round of indirect talks between Iran and the United States on the 11th.

In an interview with the media, he said that Oman, which is facilitating the negotiations, had inquired about Iran's view on the 11th as a new round of talks date, "We agreed to it."

He noted that evidently Oman had also approached the United States, "For now, the talks are scheduled to be held on Sunday (the 11th). As for the start time of the talks, we are waiting for coordination from the Omani side."

Aragchi pointed out that the negotiations are moving forward, and the more progress is made, the more consultations and reviews are needed, and the delegations need more time to examine the issues raised.

On May 1st, Omani Foreign Minister Badr posted on social media saying that "for logistical reasons," the originally scheduled fourth round of indirect Iran-U.S. talks on May 3rd had been postponed, and a new date for the talks would be announced after mutual agreement by all parties.

On April 12th, Iran and the United States held the first round of indirect talks in the Omani capital, Muscat, marking the first formal negotiations since the United States unilaterally withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal in May 2018. Subsequently, both parties held two rounds of indirect talks on April 19th and 26th.
