Deputy Prime Minister and UMNO President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid launched the "UMNO Patriotic School" on Sunday, aiming to nurture future leaders with a "fighting spirit" who not only understand political strategies and complexities but also embody the true values of UMNO's struggle.
He pointed out that this school is not just a place to learn politics, but also a platform for shaping the fighting spirit and grit of the younger generation.
He posted on his Facebook page today (26th), saying: "The leadership we hope to cultivate must not only be skilled in speech or theory but truly possess a fighting spirit, resilience, and high competitiveness, while not neglecting loyalty to religion, race, and country."
"I believe this initiative is a strategic step to ensure UMNO continues to exert influence and remains a pillar of national politics."
Ahmad Zahid said the UMNO Patriotic School has selected 50 participants for a pilot course, with a training module comprehensively designed to cover critical thinking, strategic leadership, and a deep understanding of UMNO's struggle.
He said the module would continue to evolve and improve to ensure an effective cultivation of a generation of smart, brave, and confident leaders to continue the party's struggle.
Zahid firmly believes that with steadfast determination, discipline, and a high spirit of struggle, the UMNO Patriotic School will become a cornerstone for the rise of a new generation, leading the party to greater success.
"The current young generation cannot just be observers on the political stage but need to rise as thinkers, planners, and executors who can shape the future of Malaysia."
"Through the UMNO Patriotic School, we provide the younger generation with a broad platform where they can contribute ideas, engage in open discussions, and receive leadership training to enhance their abilities as future leaders."
Ahmad Zahid also congratulated UMNO Vice President and Pahang Chief Minister Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy for leading the entire team in successfully establishing the UMNO Patriotic School.
