Tony Leung and Carina Lau attended the awards ceremony hand in hand, appearing on the red carpet together. Carina wore a custom-made pure white dress, while Tony was in a black suit, looking very sweet together.
Carina was responsible for presenting the Best Actor award. She humorously noted that she came again this year to present an award. She joked that she was originally there to accompany her husband, but received a call at the last minute asking if she could present the award: "What award? Best Actor, again Best Actor." She also claimed to have an eye for selecting Best Actor winners, revealing that for the next few years, she might be the one presenting the Best Actor award.
Carina commented on several Best Actor nominees, stating that she would not be judging their acting skills but rather their "looks." First, she commented on Michael Hui, expressing that she had watched his performances since childhood and that he had dressed maturely even back then: "I truly admire your foresight, strategically narrowing the age gap between your younger and older years, so I haven't seen you change much at all over the years! Plus, you have good skin, no eye wrinkles or neck wrinkles, making people envious!"
Next, it was Sean Lau's turn. Carina noted a "similar phenomenon" with him as with Michael Hui, recalling that they were classmates in the actor training class: "Even back then, I thought Sean looked much older than me, but so many years later, he doesn't seem to have aged! Is it because of your darker skin? It's more resistant to aging?" Before Sean could answer, she immediately turned to Louis Koo: "Louis, isn't that right? No wonder you're always sunbathing!"
The next one she commented on was Aaron Kwok. She expressed a connection with Aaron, as he had received an award she presented last time. She asked Aaron if he knew of any flaws he had, to which he replied he did not. She continued: "You have no flaws! That means you're perfect! Aaron, let me tell you, your flaw is that you're too handsome! Being too handsome sometimes hinders your acting." Another voice chimed in, saying to Carina, "Tony Leung is also very handsome!" Carina immediately agreed, "Yes," and when it came to her husband, she quickly added: "Tony Leung truly is very handsome! But what's great about Tony is that he doesn't know he's handsome! Plus, he doesn't really care if he's handsome." She then playfully complained about her husband's graying hair that he doesn't dye, and went on to praise Aaron again.
