(Kuala Lumpur, 30th) Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar stated that the unity government fully respects the clear and firm message sent by Sabah voters in the state election.
“State voters are demanding real reform. For a long time, they have almost been subject to unfair treatment and neglect, whether from the Peninsula or Sabah itself.”
Anwar wrote on Facebook to congratulate Sabah Chief Minister Dato’ Seri Hajiji.
“Over the past three years, we have worked hard to address long-standing issues, including demands and rights related to Sabah’s interests. In this short period, we have made clear progress on several issues related to the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).”
He stated that the unity government will steadfastly pursue reform and is committed to building a fair, just, prosperous and no longer marginalized Sabah.
He emphasized that the voice of the Sabah people is an important trust, and the government must shoulder this with a high sense of responsibility.
