Zheng Ying Enjoys Food on Her European Honeymoon, Squeezing in Workouts Amidst Feasting

After marrying chef husband Wu Sihan, Zheng Ying has become more particular about food, and even their honeymoon plans have included searching for gourmet food and ingredients. However, in order to maintain her figure, she must find time to exercise during the trip.

Wu Sihan and Zheng Ying were married on June 15, 2025, but due to their busy work schedules, they only managed to go on their European honeymoon at the end of October. In a recent interview with Lianhe Zaobao, Wu Sihan "revealed" that his wife originally wanted to take their honeymoon next year, but he managed to "persuade" her with sweet talk. “She’s a workaholic. I told her I was going on a business trip and asked her to come along.”

Zheng Ying explained that the honeymoon had to be postponed due to filming after the wedding. “Plus, with getting married and moving house this year, we've been so busy, so we were planning to go next year.”
Wu Sihan and Zheng Ying spent two weeks traveling across Spain, France, and Scotland. In addition to sightseeing and taking in the beautiful scenery, they also toured wineries, oyster farms, and enjoyed plenty of fine food and wine.

Neither of them had ever been to Spain and were very curious about it. Besides visiting the grand Sagrada Familia, they also went to the food-lovers' haven of San Sebastian to enjoy its delicacies.
In Paris, France, they soaked up the local fashion atmosphere, visited an oyster farm, and even watched the "Crazy Horse" show. The highlight of their journey in Scotland was visiting the Macallan Estate to taste whisky. The stunning local scenery left them amazed, and they mentioned wanting to go back again. Zheng Ying said, "We did self-driving tours in Scotland and Spain. The weather was great in Scotland, and the autumn colors along the way were beautiful!"
After marrying a chef, Zheng Ying's travels have become more food-focused. She said: “Having a chef husband really makes a difference—I'm now pickier when it comes to food, and I've learned to analyze ingredients and seasonings. I truly enjoy traveling like this, although I do have to find time to exercise on the journey.”

Asked about her most unforgettable experience, Zheng Ying said the oyster farm visit in France left the deepest impression, while Wu Sihan sweetly replied, “What I remember most is seeing my wife so happy, watching her become more discerning about food and even better at hunting for good eats.”

How is traveling before and after marriage different? Zheng Ying said, “On this trip, Sihan paid particular attention to local interior design, hoping to get some inspiration (for our new home).” Wu Sihan added, “We also discussed how foreigners raise their children and shared our thoughts on parenting.”
Wu Sihan comes from a Peranakan Chinese family, and Zheng Ying loves eating her husband's Peranakan dishes. She said, “Sihan’s parents are excellent cooks, and he’s learned their family’s secret recipes.” At this point, her thoughtful husband chimed in to praise her: “She has a real gift for flavoring, but she doesn’t dare to cook for me. I secretly try her food, actually it’s very good.”

It turns out Zheng Ying is nervous to “show off in front of an expert.” “He’s a chef! Before I met him, I never cooked, because my mom and brother were good cooks. But now that I'm a wife, I try to cook for my husband. I’m a perfectionist though, so I have to be satisfied with it myself before I’ll let him try.”

Their love nest is not fully renovated yet, but they have already moved in. Wu Sihan said, “The house is still undergoing some final tweaks, so it’s a bit messy.”

They have very similar tastes in home decor; their new home has a modern minimalist style, mostly in white. They said, “The kitchen and living room are all white, while the bedroom uses off-white—it’s a style we both love.”
Talking about family planning, the couple agreed to first enjoy their life as a twosome. Zheng Ying said: “This year has just been too busy. I want to take it easy, so we’re not planning for a baby right now. I still want to travel! Once there’s a child, life will totally change.” She’s glad neither set of parents is “pressuring” them for grandkids, but she also won’t say never: “It’s all up to fate. Having a child is truly a blessing.”

Zheng Ying plans to wait at least a year before becoming a mom. Wu Sihan would prefer to wait even longer, for a sweet reason: “I want to keep my wife by my side a bit longer. She’s a very maternal person, so once there’s a child her love and attention for me would be divided.”
