While presiding over the study, Xi Jinping emphasized that during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period (2026 to 2030), it is essential to uphold the guidance of the Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, thoroughly implement the military-strengthening thought of the new era, reinforce political leadership, deepen innovative development, advance national defense and military modernization with high quality, and achieve the centenary goals for building the armed forces on schedule.
Xi Jinping also called for decisive progress in basically achieving the modernization of national defense and the military, to provide robust strategic support for comprehensively promoting the building of a strong country and the great rejuvenation of the nation through Chinese-style modernization.
