Hai Junjie’s wife, Mo Jiazi, was recently rushed to the hospital due to a sudden health crisis and was diagnosed with acute liver failure (also referred to as acute liver cirrhosis). Hai Junjie urgently raised funds online, and with the help of many friends, eventually managed to gather over a million dollars for medical expenses. Unfortunately, news came last night (27th) that Hai Junjie’s wife ultimately lost her fight against the illness and passed away.

Hai Junjie entered the entertainment industry in 1994 after winning the New Talent Singing Awards, signing as a singer with Huaxing and immediately recording his debut single “Forever Idol,” which was later included in the album “Sea in the Breeze.” Sadly, his singing career did not take off, and he remained a one-album singer. He acted in numerous dramas at TVB, such as “Detective Investigation Files III,” “Off Pedder,” and “Forensic Heroes II.” He later appeared in a few ATV dramas, but continued to drift in the entertainment industry. After leaving ATV in 2008, he began a ten-year stint working in mainland China.

In China, Hai Junjie performed at night venues, singing four to five times a week; at times, he sang until he lost his voice. Feeling lost and worried he might never be able to sing again, he once cried alone at home. After several months of rest and recovery, his vocal cords gradually healed. It was during his lowest days that he met his wife, Mo Jiazi. The couple lived in China, their feelings for each other grew rapidly, and they married in 2017. Hai Junjie’s wife worked as a celebrity makeup artist and had a full, curvy figure, and Hai Junjie has always praised her in public and private as a lovely ‘chubby girl.’
